שטר מכר מאל-מהדיה שבו שתי נשים, ככל הנראה בנות-דודות, מוכרות קודקס של המקרא בשווי 20 דינרים. המוכרות מאשרות את נכונותן למכור, מודות בקבלת התשלום, ומכירות באחריותן ובאחריות יורשיהן לפצות את הקונה במקרה שתעורר אי-פעם ערעור על בעלותו על הספר. בסיום השטר מאשרים בעליהן של המוכרות את הפעולה שביצעו נשותיהן.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Sale by two women, presumably cousins, in al-Mahdiyya, of a Bible codex worth 20 dinars. The sellers confirm their willingness to sell, accept receipt of the payment and acknowledge their and their heirs' responsibility to indemnify the buyer should his proprietorship of the book ever be contested. In conclusion, the sellers' husbands confirm the action taken by their wives.
