מסמך משפטי (חלקו העליון בלבד) שבו יצחק בן אברהם (ככל הנראה אבן פראת') ממנה את אסד הידוע גם בשמו העברי יהודה בן משה כשליחו. יצחק נושא כאן את התואר "שר לעדה", ואביו אברהם מתואר כ"זקן הקהילות ברמלה". מ"א פרידמן טוען שהמסמך נכתב בצור במחצית השנייה של המאה ה-11, ככל הנראה לאחר הכיבוש הסלג'וקי של שנת 1073. פרידמן מזהה את יצחק זה כבנו של אברהם אבן פראת', בעוד שגיל חולק וסבור שיצחק היה דווקא אביו של אברהם אבן פראת' — זיהוי המחייב תיארוך מוקדם יותר. המסמך מזכיר את "בית דין הגדול", כלומר בית הדין של הישיבה הארץ-ישראלית, ולאחריו מופיע הצירוף הייחודי "שלשיפלת דלת יעקב". נורמן גולב פירש ביטוי זה כהתייחסות למקום בדלתא של הנילוס, אך פרידמן מראה שמסתבר יותר שמדובר בדרך פיוטית לתאר את מצבה השפל והמושפל של הישיבה עצמה באותן שנים, ואולי יש בכך רמיזה ליחזקאל י"ז:ו. המסמך נערך ונדון אצל פרידמן, "עוד על 'עיטור' חתימתו של ר' אליהו בן גאון במכתבו לאברהם שר העדה", תרביץ מ"ט (1980), עמ' 202–204.

Princeton Geniza Project description: Legal document (top only) in which Yiṣḥaq b. Avraham (probably Ibn Furāt) appoints Asad a.k.a. Yehuda b. Moshe as his agent. Yiṣḥaq is here titled Sar la-ʿEda, and his father Avraham is titled "Zaqen he-Qehillot in Ramla." M. A. Friedman argues that this document comes from Tyre in the second half of the 11th century, likely after the Seljuk conquest of 1073. He identifies this Yiṣḥaq as the son of Avraham Ibn Furāt; Gil disagrees and identifies Yiṣḥaq as the father of Avraham Ibn Furāt (which would then imply an earlier dating). The document refers to the "great court" (bet din ha-gadol), i.e., the court of the Palestinian Yeshiva, followed by the unique phrase שלשיפלת דלת יעקב. Norman Golb took this as a reference to a location in the Nile Delta, however Friedman shows that it is more likely a poetic way of referring to the lowly and degraded state of the yeshiva itself in these years, perhaps alluding to Ezekiel 17:6.
