Princeton Geniza Project description: Accounts in Judaeo-Arabic. Dated: 3 Tishrei [5]605 AM (1844 CE). The main heading mentions that the entries are a "list of expenses for the procurement (lit. bringing) of etrogim." Based on the time of year– a couple weeks before Sukkot –these etrogim were likely being sourced ahead of the upcoming holiday celebration. The accounts list a variety of other expenses, such as "food and coffee," as well as the costs of "riding donkeys" (rakūb ḥamīr), which were involved in the transport of etrogim over multiple days mentioned. At least two names are mentioned in connection with shipment of fruit: Moshe Ṣedaqa and Yosef Ṣedaqa. MCD.
