רשימת מצרכים ו/או מתכון בכתב ערבי. השורה הראשונה כוללת כמעט את אותם פריטים כמו השורה השנייה, אלא שבשורה הראשונה מצוינות גם כמויות, והיא מוסיפה גם טחינה (ṭaḥīna). השורה השנייה נפתחת בכותרת "עשיית צחנא" (ṣaḥna) — תבלין או רוטב המבוסס על דגים כבושים במלח (ראו נוואל נסראללה, Treasure Trove of Benefits, עמ' 203). המצרכים המופיעים הם: - סומק (summāq) - מיץ לימון (māʾ laymū) - "ראש" (raʾs) — פריט שמעורר תמיהה מסוימת, שכן בשורה הראשונה "ראש" משמש כיחידת מידה לשום, אך כאן "ראש" ו"שום" מופרדים על ידי "אגוז" - אגוז מלך (jawz) - שום (thawm) - דגים כבושים במלח (ṣaḥna) - לימון כבוש — שמכונה בשורה זו laymūna mamlūḥa ובשורה שמעליה laymūna māliḥa בצד האחורי (verso) מופיע רישום בכתב ערבי ובספרות יווניות/קופטיות של סכום שנותר חוב (al-bāqī), ולאחריו בערבית-יהודית: "אבו אל-בהאא' מן (אל-קאהרה) — אבו אל-בהאא' מקהיר (החדשה)".

Princeton Geniza Project description: Grocery list and/or recipe in Arabic script. The first row consists of nearly all the same items as the second row, except that there are quantities in the first row, and the first row also includes ṭaḥīna. The second row is headed "making ṣaḥna" (a condiment of salt-cured fish, see Nawal Nasrallah, Treasure Trove of Benefits, p. 203). The ingredients are as follows: -sumac (summāq) -lemon juice (mā laymū) -a head (raʾs; this is slightly puzzling because in the first row, "head" is listed as a measurement for garlic, but here "head" and "garlic" are separated by "walnut") -walnut (jawz) -garlic (thawm) -salt-cured fish (ṣaḥna) -preserved lemon (called laymūna mamlūḥa in this row and laymūna māliḥa in the row above) On verso there is a notation in Arabic script and Greek/Coptic numerals of an amount owed (al-bāqī), and then in Judaeo-Arabic, "Abū l-Bahāʾ from (New) Cairo."
