Princeton Geniza Project description: Alphabetical writing exercises on a large piece of paper that was folded into four sections. The paleography and format support a dating estimate of 16th-century or later. At the top of each section the writing instructor provided the Hebrew alphabet in model handwriting for the student to repeat. As is commonly the case for this genre of learners' texts, the student's name (David Levi) appears in two of the headings–though it is more rare for the student's full name to appear rather than just their surname.
