טיוטה של רישום מבית הדין בפוסטאט משנת 1042, בכתב ידו של אפרים בן שמריה (ולא בכתב ידו של יפת בן דוד שכניה). הרישום עוסק בתביעה שהגיש יעקב בן אברהם בן עלאן נגד יחיא בן משה אלמג'אני. שנתיים לאחר שיחיא תיאר את חילוקי הדעות בינו לבין יעקב, הגיעו טענות יריבו לפני בית הדין. הנתבע נמצא בפוסטאט והתובע נמצא בקירואן, ולפיכך נדרש בית הדין לשלוח את מסקנותיו לחננאל בן חושיאל ולנגיד יעקב בן עמרם מבית הדין בקירואן. הרישום כולל פרטים על הסחורות ומחיריהן. אביו של יחיא הזמין סחורות אלו לפני שנפטר, סמוך ליוני 1039.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Draft of a court record from the court in Fustat. 1042. In the handwriting of Efrayim b. Shemarya (not Yefet b. David Shekhanya). Regarding the claim by Yaʿaqov b. Avraham b. ʿAllān against Yaḥya b. Moshe al-Majjānī. Two years after Yaḥya described his disagreement with Yaʿaqov, his opponent’s claims come before the court. The complainant is in Fustat and the claimant is in Qayrawan, therefor the court needs to send its conclusion to Hananel b. Hushiel and the Nagid Yaʿaqov b. ʿAmram from the court in Qayrawan. The record contains details about the goods and their prices. Yaḥyā’s father ordered these goods before he passed away around June 1039. (Information from Gil, Kingdom, Vol. 4, #632) VMR
