מכתב בכתב ידו של אברהם מימוני אל משה בן פרחיה, מתוארך בין השנים 1205–1237 לסה"נ על פי שנות כהונתו של אברהם מימוני כראיס אל-יהוד (נגיד היהודים). המכתב הוא המלצה עבור נושאו — הרב הצרפתי ר' יחיאל [בן יצחק צרפתי] — בפני קהל הרבנים (ʿulamā' al-sharīʿa, חכמי ההלכה) בארץ ישראל ובירושלים. משה בן פרחיה שימש כדיין באזור הריף שבמצרים, ובכלל זה במניית זיפתא ובמניית ע'מר, והיה אחיו של יוסף בן פרחיה. בצדו האחורי של המסמך מופיעה רשימת תרומות הכוללת שמות רבים, ויש להניח שמדובר במגבית שנערכה לטובת נושא המכתב. כל המידע מבוסס על מהדורתו ודיונו של מרדכי עקיבא פרידמן.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Autograph letter by Avraham Maimonides to Moshe b. Peraḥya. Dating to 1205–1237 CE, based on Avraham Maimonides years of service as Rayyis al-Yahūd. It is a recommendation for the bearer, the French rabbi R. Yeḥiel [b. Yiṣḥaq Ẓarfatī], to the community of rabbis (ʿulamā' al-sharīʿa) in Palestine and Jerusalem. Moshe b. Peraḥya served as a judge in the Rīf, including in Minyat Zifta and Minyat Ghamr; he was the brother of Yosef b. Peraḥya.
