קטע ממכתב ביהודית-ערבית. מגן על מנהיג קהילה מפני שורת האשמות. אחת מהן עוסקת ביתומים ואלמנות; אחר כך מוזכר ההקדש; 'זקני היהודים' (שויוך' אל-יהוד); ולאחר מכן טענה שהוא מתנהג בצורה כלשהי עם השלטונות (וולאת) והפוסקים (פוקהאא') והעדים המקצועיים (שהוד) - דבר שהכותב מפריך, וטוען שאדם זה משרת פקידי הממשל והמשפט המוסלמים 'לטובת היהודים מתוך אצילותו'. הטענה האחרונה שמורה עוסקת בנשים וטהרה. דורש בדיקה נוספת.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Fragment of a letter in Judaeo-Arabic. Defending a communal leader against a litany of accusations against him. One of them has to do with orphans and widows; then mentions the heqdesh; then the "elders of the Jews" (shuyūkh al-yahūd); then a claim that he does something with the governors (wulāt) and jurisprudents (fuqahāʾ) and professional witnesses (shuhūd), which the writer contradicts, stating that this person in fact serves these Muslim state and judicial officials "for the interests of the Jews out of his nobility." The last claim preserved has to do with women and purity. Needs further examination.
