Princeton Geniza Project description: Accounts in Judaeo-Arabic listing a variety of individuals with honorific Ottoman titles. Among the names listed are: (recto) Sulayman Efendī Mustaḥfizan/מסתחפצן (the latter term was the title of the janissary garrison in Cairo), Abu ʿArabī Daūdī (verso) ʿUmr ___ Qapṭān wa-Çelebī Silaḥdar, ʿUmr Efendī Kātib, Emir __[?] al-Basha Ḥasan Agha, ___[?] Çorbacı, and others. This fragment bears the signs of a fold/former spine that suggests it may have been part of a broader ledger. For a fragment that is potentially related in a similar scribal hand, see: ENA NS 53.15.
