Princeton Geniza Project description: Legal record (#121) in a court register/pinqas from a Karaite beit din in Cairo (on f. 40r of Yevr.-Arab. I 328). Dated: 3 [...] 5329 AM (1568 CE). Although the court register appears to be damaged and missing pages between ff. 39–40, this dating is not significantly later than the previous record on f. 39r: 7 Sivan 5333 AM (1567 CE). Legal dispute regarding the delayed betrothal of Shelomo (aka Slīmān) b. Shemuʾel Kohen Shuqayr to a fiancée whose name is damaged (?_אלמ) or, perhaps, only referred to as "aforementioned" (אלמד׳ ). Farjallah b. ʿAbd al-Raḥīm summons Shelomo/Slīmān before the judge Shemuʾel ha-dayyan because over a year has passed since Shelomo agreed to proceed with the betrothal but never did so and did not give his fiancée a mohar.
