העתק של ייפוי כוח על שם דאוד בן עמאר בן עזרון מדיני. המקום: השטר עצמו נערך בפוסטאט, אך הוא עוסק במינוי שנעשה במהדיה. התאריך: יום ראשון, כ"ה בניסן ד'תתי"ב לבריאת העולם = 29 במרץ 1052. דאוד ממנה את אברהם בן משה, הוא ברהון בן מוסא אלתאהרתי, כשלוחו לגבות את הכספים השייכים לבני עמאר מירושת חסד בן ישר אלתסתרי (שנרצח שנתיים קודם לכן) מידי אבו מנצור (אהרן אלתסתרי, אחיו של חסד). אין על השטר חתימות מלבד חתימתו של חיים, אחיו של דאוד. גויטיין משער כי שאר העדים איחרו לבוא, וכי בינתיים ככל הנראה אבו מנצור כבר הסדיר את העניין. ייתכן שיש קשר בין מסמך זה למסמך נוסף. Princeton Geniza Project description: Copy of a power of attorney in the name of David b. ʿAmmār b. ʿAzrūn Madīnī. Location: the document itself was drawn up in Fustat, concerning an appointment made in al-Mahdiyya. Dated: Sunday, 25 Nisan 4812 AM = 29 March 1052 CE. David appoints Avraham b. Moshe, i.e., Barhun b. Musa al-Tāhartī, as his agent to collect the money that belongs to the sons of ʿAmmār from the inheritance of Ḥesed b. Yashar al-Tustarī (who was killed two years earlier) from Abū Manṣūr (Aharon al-Tustarī, the brother of Hesed). There are no signatures except for that of Ḥayyim, David’s brother. Goitein suggests that the other witness or witnesses were late, and presumably in the meantime Abū Manṣūr had already settled the matter. May be related to T-S 16.145 (PGPID 1710).
