מסמך משפטי שנכתב בבית הדין של חנניה אב בית דין בן יוסף גאון. מתוארך ליום ראשון, סוף אלול א'שי"ח למניין שטרות = 14 בספטמבר 1007. (תאריכים נוספים מוקדמים יותר בחודש אלול מוזכרים אף הם בגוף המסמך.) המסמך עוסק בהתדיינות משפטית ממושכת בין אפרים בן שמריה לבין שלמה בן פשאט. מוזכרים במסמך השמות יצחק בן טייב, חסאן בן והייב ואבו אל-חסן בן יאשיהו. חתומים עליו לוי בן יעקב הלוי, שמואל הכהן בן [...] ו-[...] בן טוביה. בהיותו נערך בשנת 1007, המסמך הזה בעל חשיבות כרונולוגית רבה, שכן הוא מסייע לתחום את טווח השנים שבהן פעל אפרים בן שמריה: 1007–1055 לספירה.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Legal document written in the court of Ḥananya Av Bet Din b. Yosef Gaʾon. Dated: Sunday, end of Elul 1318 Seleucid = 14 September 1007 CE. (Other dates earlier in Elul are also mentioned in the body of the document.) Dealing with a protracted litigation between Efrayim b. Shemarya and Shelomo b. Fashshāṭ. The names Yishaq b. Ṭayyib, Ḥasān b. Wuhayb and Abū l-Ḥasan b. Yoshiyyahu are mentioned. Signed by Levi b. Yaʿaqov ha-Levi, Shemuʾel ha-Kohen b. [...] and [...] b. Ṭoviyya. (Information from CUDL).
