שני מסמכים משפטיים בכתב ידו של חלפון בן מנשה (פעיל 1100–1138), על פי הערכתו הפלאוגרפית של ויס. רקטו: מסמך משפטי בעניין הסכם שהושג בין בעל לאשתו, מתוארך לכסלו שנת ...14 למניין השטרות (היינו בין השנים 1088 ל-1188). בני הזוג מסכימים לבטל את גירושיהם ולחדש את כתובתם. הוטל על האישה תנאי, ואי-עמידה בו תוביל לגירושין מבלי שתהיה לה זכות לגבות את המגיע לה על פי כתובתה. כן הוסכם שאם יתאמתו טענותיו של הבעל, היא תוחרם. חתומים: נתן בן שלמה הכהן (פעיל 1122–1150) ויהודה בן שלמה. Princeton Geniza Project description: Recto: legal document in the hand of Ḥalfon b. Menashshe (active 1100–38 CE), per Weiss' paleographical assessment. Concerns an agreement reached between a husband and wife, dated Kislev 14[..] Seleucid = 1088–1188 CE. The couple agree to nullify their divorce and renew their marriage contract. A condition had been imposed on the wife, and failure to fulfill it would lead to divorce, without the right to collect what was due to her in her ketubba. It is also agreed that if the husband’s complaints are verified, she will be excommunicated. Signed by Natan b. Shelomo ha-Kohen (active 1122–50 CE) and Yehuda b. Shelomo. Since the document contains an optional legal expression that first made its appearance in 1127, it is possible to date the document to 1127-1138 (per Amir Ashur). (Information in part from CUDL.)
