מסמך משפטי בכתב ידו של חלפון בן מנשה (פעיל בשנים 1100–1138 לסה"נ). אם מתקשרת בחוזה ללימוד בנה בערבית. מליחה, אחותו של שלמה אבן אלאמעט הלוי, ואבו אלפצ'ל צדוק בן שמריה מסכימים ביניהם כי האחרון ילמד את הכתב הערבי ואת חישובי ה-baqasāt(??) וה-dhāqāt(??) להבה בן אבו סעד (ככל הנראה בנה) תמורת שני דינרים. הנער היה אמור לכתוב מכתב ללא שגיאות כאשר יוכתב לו. כמו כן היה על אבו אלפצ'ל לספק להבה בן אבו סעד שיעורים בחשבון, שבעזרתם היה הנער להגיע לשליטה בחשבונות מורכבים. שיעורי החשבון היו אמורים להתנהל באמצעות שימוש בחשבונייה (אבאקוס). יש לציין כי מסמך זה מצוטט לעיתים תחת סימן שמורה אחר.

Princeton Geniza Project description: Legal document. In the hand of Ḥalfon b. Menashshe (fl. 1100–1138 CE). A mother concludes a contract for the teaching of her boy in Arabic. Malīḥa the sister of Shelomo Ibn al-Amʿaṭ ha-Levi and Abū l-Faḍl Ṣadoq b. Shemarya agree that the latter will teach the Arabic script and the calculations of baqasāt(??) and dhāqāt(??) to Hiba b. Abū Saʿd (presumably her son) for two dinars. The boy was supposed to write a letter without mistakes when one was dictated to him. Abū'l-Faḍl was also to provide Hiba b. Abū Saʿd with arithmetic lessons by which the boy was to master complex accounts. Arithmetic lessons were to be held through the use of the abacus.
