כתובה, ככל הנראה מקהיר, על סמך אזכור הנילוס (נילוס) בנוסחת המקום בשורה הרביעית וחתימת העד יחזקאל חפץ. הכתובה מתוארכת לתמוז ה'תקנ"ד[.] לבריאת העולם, היינו 1780–1789 לספירה. הספרה האחרונה בשנה אבדה עקב פגיעה במסמך. רוב הביטויים האינפורמטיביים בכתובה מחוקים, אך ניתן ללמוד שלחתן שלמה הייתה זיקה כלשהי לסלוניקי (אולי מקום מגוריו או מקום הולדתו). החתימה באמצע החלק התחתון היא ככל הנראה חתימת החתן, ומאששת את שם משפחתו: אליקים. שמה הפרטי של הכלה מחוק (?מרא), אך שמו המלא של אביה המנוח, מאיר הלוי, מופיע בשורה 7. חתימת העד בצד שמאל היא של יחזקאל חפץ, סופר ורב בקהיר בשנים שבין שנות ה־80 של המאה ה־18 לשנות ה־20 של המאה ה־19.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Ketubba, likely from Cairo given the mention of the Nile (נילוס) in the locational clause in line four and the witness signature of Yeḥezqel Ḥefeṣ (a prolific scribe that served in Cairo c. 1800). Dated Tammuz 554[.] AM which is 1780-89 CE. The final digit in the year is lost to damage. Most of the informative phrases of the ketubba are effaced but the groom Shelomo has some connection to Salonika (perhaps his place of residence or birth). The signature in the middle of base section is likely that of the groom, confirming his surname as Elīyakīm. The bride's first name is effaced (?מרא) but her deceased father's full name is Meʾīr ha-Levi in line 7. The witness signature on the left side is that of Yeḥezqel Ḥefeṣ, a scribe and rabbi in Cairo during the 1780s-1820s. ASE. MCD.
