מכתב ממבורך בן שלמה אל אבו בשר מבשר בן עלי. הכותב לא שלח את הבדים שהבטיח מפני שנולד לו ילד ושמו יהודה. מוזכר יצחק בן סאסון, דיין ידוע ממעגלו של הרמב"ם. הוא שולח דרישת שלום מאחיו זכאי ויהודה ומאחותו. מתוארך לסיוון שנת א'תפ"ז לשטרות = 1176 לספירה.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Mevorakh b. Shelomo to the teacher Abū l-Bishr Mevasser b. ʿEli, in Cairo. Dated: Sivan 1488 Seleucid = May 1177 CE. Acknowledges receipt of the addressee's letter sent with Khalīl; as for the addressee's request for children's clothing, the writer has been unable to send anything for two reasons. First, because the baby girl who was born a year and a half ago died, "and some say that it is not fitting to give her clothing to another baby." Second, because a son named Yehuda was recently born to the writer. He says he will send the clothing as soon as he can. Then mentions Yiṣḥaq b. Sason, the well-known judge from the circle of Maimonides, and a matter concerning a warehouse. Greetings from his father, his mother, his brothers Zakkay and Yehuda, his older and younger sisters. Greetings to Raḍiyy al-Dawla, Abū l-Maʿālī, two cousins, their mother, and the sister of Raḍiyy al-Dawla. AA/ASE
