מכתב משפטי. כתוב על קלף (14 שורות) בכתב ידו של חלפון בן מנשה (פעיל בשנים 1100–1138 לספירה). הכותב מדווח שעלה בדעתו רעיון טוב ליישוב דילמה תיעודית: לפני שיימחק דבר־מה במסמך מסוים, כפי שהוסכם בעבר בינו לבין הנמען, יש לזמן שוב את העדים ולערוך קניין חדש, כדי שלא יוכלו להתלונן בדיעבד שמעולם לא חתמו על המסמך בנוסחו הסופי וכי הוא "מזויף" (מזוּוַר, שורה 9). המידע מבוסס על כרטיסיית גויטיין ועל מהדורה בהכנה של עודד צינגר.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Legal letter. Written on parchment (14 lines). In the hand of Ḥalfon b. Menashshe (fl. 1100–1138 CE). He reports that he has come up with a good idea to resolve a documentation dilemma, namely that before something is deleted in a certain document as he had previously agreed with the addressee, the witnesses should be summoned again and a new qinyan should be made, so that they cannot complain after the fact that they never signed the document in its ultimate form and that it has been "falsified" or "forged" (muzawwar, line 9).
