שטר אירוסין קראי מקהיר, מתאריך ט"ו בסיוון ה'תקי"ט (1759). האירוסין הם בין החתן יוסף בן גדליה בן אהרן המכונה צעיר ובין הכלה הנה בת אהרן הרופא. החתן מתחייב שלא לשאת אישה נוספת במשך עשר שנים, אלא אם כן אשתו תישאר חשוכת ילדים, וכן להימנע מלהזיק לה או לבני משפחתה. כמו כן הוא מתיר להנה לבצע מטלות בית עבור קרובי משפחתה הקרובים בעיתות צורך. הכלה הייתה נשואה בעבר, אך שטר האירוסין אינו מציין אם היא אלמנה או גרושה — וגם שטר השידוכין של בני הזוג (PGPID 27927) אינו מבהיר נקודה זו. כתובתם של בני הזוג, המצויה במצב של פגיעה קשה, שמורה במסמך נפרד (PGPID 27778).
Princeton Geniza Project description: Karaite betrothal deed from Cairo. Dated 15 Sivan 5519 AM (1759). The betrothal involves the groom Yosef b. Gedalya b. Aharon aka Ṣaʿīr and the bride Hana bt. Aharon ha-Rofe. The groom commits not to marry another wife for 10 years, unless his wife will become childless and not to harm her or her relatives. He also permits Hana to perform household duties for her close family in times of need. The bride was previously married but this betrothal document does not specify whether she is a widow or a divorcée– nor does the couple's engagement deed Yevr.-Arab II 1383 (PGPID 27927).
