פתק לא־פורמלי בכתב ערבי. ככל הנראה ממורה לערבית אל מורה אחר שהיה אחראי על הוראת אותם תלמידים בשעות מוקדמות יותר של היום. הפתק נכתב על רצועת נייר ארוכה ואופקית. תיארוך: ככל הנראה המאה ה-12 או ה-13. במכתב מתבקש הנמען לשלוח כעת את הילדים, "שכן היום קצר, פן יאבדו את התועלת". הכותב מודע לכך שהנמען מחזיק אותם אצלו רק "לטובתם", אך בכל זאת — "גם אנו זקוקים להתקדם בערבית". בשולי העמוד העליונים הוסיף השולח "התנצלות על (מראהו הירוד של) הנייר". בצד האחורי מופיע פתגם דתי, גם הוא בכתב ערבי.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Informal note in Arabic script. Evidently from an Arabic teacher to another teacher charged with teaching the same pupils earlier in the day. On a long, horizontal strip of paper. Dating: Likely 12th or 13th century. In which the addressee is asked to send the children now, "for the day is short, lest they lose the benefit." He knows that the addressee is only keeping them "for their benefit with you," however, "we also need to make progress in Arabic." The sender added "apologies for the (poor appearance of the) paper" in the top margin. On verso there is a pious aphorism, also in Arabic script.
