מכתב בכתב ערבי. פותח בביטויי כיסופים וצער על שהשולח לא נשאר עם הנמען. השולח מדווח שהיה קושי גדול במסע בנילוס או בים (לחקנא שדה פי ל-בחר) בשל העומס המוגזם (מן כת'רת אל-וסק), אך בסופו של דבר הגיעו בשלום. השולח מסר את ה'תקווים' לאל-שריף שהיה אסיר תודה. השולח נפגש עם מנצור אל-פראש ומסר לו את מסר הנמען.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter in Arabic script. Opens with expressions of longing and regret for how the sender did not stay with the addressee. The sender reports that there was great difficulty on the Nile or sea voyage (laḥiqanā shidda fī l-baḥr) because of the excessive cargo (min kuthrat al-wasq), but ultimately they arrived safely. The sender delivered the 'taqwīm' to al-Sharīf who was grateful. The sender met with Manṣūr al-Farrāsh and conveyed the addressee's message to him.
