רשומה משפטית (מס' 8) בפנקס בית דין קראי בקהיר. הרשומה נושאת את התאריך כ"ה בתשרי א'תתע"ב למניין שטרות (1560 לסה"נ). עבד אלעזיז בן עבדאללה אלפיירוזי מעיד בפני בית הדין כי החל מיום זה ואילך הוא לא יבצע עסקאות מכל סוג שהוא — בכספים או בסחורות — עם עבד אלרזאק אלחדידי. הוא מעיד עוד כי לא ייצא מקהיר (ואולי מ"מצר", כלומר ממצרים) ללא רשות אשתו, סת אלאהל בת עבד אלמעטי אלפולאדי. בהמשך מודה עבד אלעזיז בחוב כלפי חמיו בסך 6 דינרי זהב ג'דיד (אשרפי), שאותם הלווה לעבד אלרזאק אלחדידי — פרט המסייע להבין את ההקשר הפיננסי של הסכסוך בין שני האנשים, אליו רומזת פתיחת הרשומה. יתר הרשומה עוסקת בסכום נפרד של 7 מטבעות זהב שעבד אלעזיז חייב לחמיו, אך נקטעת באמצע משפט עוד לפני שהרשומה אושרה ונחתמה.

Princeton Geniza Project description: Legal record (#8) in a court register/pinqas from a Karaite beit din in Cairo (on ff. 4r-v of Yevr.-Arab. I 328). Dated 25 Tishrei 1872 Seleucid (1560 CE). ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. ʿAbdallah al-Fayruzī testifies before the court that from this day onwards he will not transact with ʿAbd al-Razāq al-Ḥadīdī in any kind of monies or goods. He also testifies that he will not travel outside of Cairo (or possibly Egypt/מצר) without the permission of his wife, Sitt al-Ahl bt. ʿAbd al-Maʿatī al-Fulādī. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz then goes onto acknowledge a debt with his father-in-law of 6 gold jadīd (ashrafī) that he lent to ʿAbd al-Razāq al-Ḥadīdī (which helps contextualize the financial issues between the two men alluded to in the opening of the entry). The rest of the entry also deals with a separate sum of money that ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz owes his father-in-law, of 7 gold coins, but cuts off mid-sentence before the entry was sealed. MCD.
