Princeton Geniza Project description: Legal record (#98) in a court register/pinqas from a Karaite beit din in Cairo (on f. 33r of Yevr.-Arab. I 328). Dated 18 Elul 5326 AM (1566 CE). Legal case in which Yaʿīsh b. ʿAbd al-Karīm al-Kohen al-Mawardī, calls for the "mercy of Ki Tetzei" (רחמים כי תצא), probably one of the legal concepts framed in the Ki Tetzei parashah, Deuteronomy 21:10–25:19. The details and purpose of the case are unclear, however, with extended discussion of acceptable and unacceptable types of sale. Requires further examination. MCD.
