מכתב מאת נסים בן יצחק אלתאהרתי, סביב שנת 1057. המכתב נשלח ככל הנראה מסוסה אל פוסטאט, ומכיל את חשבונו של מוסא בן ברהון אלתאהרתי לאחר מותו. הכותב מכנה את מוסא "אלמרחום" — זה שעליו רחמי האל — ביטוי השאוב מן התרבות המוסלמית. במכתב נזכרת השנה ד'תתט"ו, אך המכתב עצמו מאוחר יותר. כמו כן נזכרים שינויים גדולים בשער הדינר מול הדירהם. Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Nissim b. Yishaq al-Tāhartī. Around 1057. The letter was probably from Susa to Fustat and it contains the account of Musa b. Barhun al-Tāhartī after his death. The writer calls Musa “al-Marhum” – the one who has God’s mercy, a phrase that is taken from the Muslim culture. Mentions the year ד'תתט"ו but the letter is later than that. Mentions big changes in the Dinar rate vs. the dirham. (Information from Gil, Kingdom, Vol. 3, #391) VMR
