שריד מפתיחת איגרת ששלח שרירא גאון אל אפרים בן צדוק בפוסטאט. נכתבה בסביבות שנת 980. באיגרת מוזכר עמרם בן משוי, דודו של הגאון (אחי אמו). האיגרת ממוענת לרופא באחד מבתי החולים בפוסטאט, אשר יעביר אותה לידי אפרים בן צדקה אלמעלם, הוא ככל הנראה אפרים בן צדוק מבני הקהילה בפוסטאט. המידע מבוסס על גיל, במלכות ישמעאל, כרך ב', מס' 26.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Fragment of a letter opening from Sherira Gaʾon, in Baghdad, to Efrayim b. Ṣadoq (aka Efrayim b. Ṣedaqa al-Muʿallim), in Fustat. Dating: ca. 980, according to Gil. Begins with a mention of ʿAmram b. Mishuy, the maternal uncle of Sherira (he may in fact be the sender rather than Sherira). The addressee was a notable of the Babylonian community of Fustat in the second half of the 10th century; see BL OR 5550.1 (PGPID 19202). The Arabic address on verso states that the letter should be sent to the [...] hospital in Fustat, to a physician, to be delivered to Efrayim b. Ṣedaqa.
