רקטו: מכתב בערבית-יהודית מאת ברכאת בן אבו אלפרג' אלדיאן אל אלרצוי, ובו בקשה להלוואה בסך שלושים דרהם כנגד מצנפת כבטוחה. גויטיין קרא בתחילה את השם כ"אלזיאת" ולא "אלדיאן" (הנו"ן אכן נראית באופן בלתי רגיל דומה לתי"ו), וזיהה באופן משוער את הנמען עם הפרנס עולא הלוי בסביבות שנת 1100 לסה"נ. אולם השולח הוא כמעט בוודאות שלמה בן אליהו, מראשית המאה ה-13. הוא מבקש הלוואה של שלושים דרהם תמורת מצנפת המוצעת כבטוחה. ראו רישום נפרד עבור הוורסו. יש לציין כי הוורסו ההדיר ורנר דים.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Recto: Letter in Judaeo-Arabic from Barakāt b. Abū l-Faraj al-Dayyān to al-Raṣuy, asking for a loan of thirty dirhams using a turban as collateral. Goitein initially read the name as al-Zayyāt rather than al-Dayyān (the nun does look unusually tav-like) and tentatively identified the addressee as the parnas ʿUlla ha-Levi ca. 1100 CE, however the sender is almost certainly Shelomo b. Eliyyahu from the early 13th century. He is asking for a loan of thirty dirhams using a turban as collateral. See separate record (PGPID 37727) for verso. NB: this document is also known as p. Heid.
