הצהרה בנוגע לתרומות למגבית ציבורית במניית זיפתא, עיירה קטנה בדלתא של הנילוס, שנכתבה בקיץ 1266. בעיירה אורגן מבצע התרמה מיוחד מספטמבר 1265 ועד אפריל 1266 לטובת הקהילה היהודית בקהיר. שמונה עשר אנשים תרמו יחד סכום כולל של 1,024¾ דרהם. ההצהרה נפתחת במילים: "אנו קהל מניית זפתא ג'ואד מצהירים בזה: כאשר בחודש אב שנת 1576 [1265] באה עלינו, בעוונותינו הרבים, גזירת המלך [קרי, הסולטאן] שחייבה גביית כספים, שאבנו כוח מתוך החולשה והצטרפנו לישראל בצרתו, על אף חוסר יכולתנו לעשות זאת, עוניינו ודלותנו". התיאור משלב מידע על המצוקה הכלכלית של הקהילה הקטנה ועל מחויבותה לסייע לקהילת קהיר בעת גזירה שהוטלה מטעם השלטון.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Statement concerning contributions to a public appeal in Minyat Zifta, a small town in the Delta, written in summer 1266. A special drive was arranged in the town from September 1265 through April 1266 in support of the Jewish community of Cairo. Eighteen people contributed a total of 1,024 ¾ dirhams. The statement begins with the words “We the congregation of Minyat Zafta Jawad, make the following declaration: When in the month of Av 1576 [1265], the decree of the King [that is, the sultan] came upon us because of our many sins, necessitating a collection, we extracted strength from weakness and joined Israel in its tribulation, despite our inability to do so, our poverty and indigence.” (S.
