רקטו: חלקו התחתון של מכתב הכתוב ברובו בערבית (ברכות הסיום בעברית ובערבית-יהודית), מהורה אל בנו. הנמען מתבקש להשיג מטפחת נאה (מנדיל מליחה) עבור מישהו לקראת החג. "ודע, בני, שגירשתי(!) את העולם וביקשתי את צידו של האל יתברך ויתעלה. בני, אני מבקש ממך לעולם לא להזניח את אחיך ואחיותיך, אל תיתן להם להפוך תלויים באיש, ושמח את ליבם ככל אשר תוכל." ורסו: חשבונות בערבית ובספרות יווניות/קופטיות.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Recto: The lower part of a letter mostly in Arabic (concluding blessings in Hebrew and Judaeo-Arabic) from a parent to a son. The addressee is asked to obtain a nice kerchief (mandīl malīḥa) for somebody for the holiday. "And know, my son, that I have divorced(!) the world and sought the side of God the blessed and exalted. My son, I request of you never to neglect your siblings, do not allow them to become dependent on anybody, and gladden their hearts as much as you are able."
