מכתב משני צדדים מאת מאיר (בן יכין) לאדם בשם חלפון. בערבית-יהודית, עם הכתובת בכתב ערבי. הזיהוי מבוסס על כתב היד. תיארוך: ראשית המאה ה-13. מאיר מבקש את הכסף השייך לחנות ורשימה של מה שיש לקנות. בצד האחורי (verso): מלבד הכתובת, נוספו מספר שורות בכתב ערבי וניסיון קולמוס בערבית-יהודית, וכן תשובה בת ארבע שורות מחלפון המזכירה את "צ'ריבת אלג'מעה" (ḍarībat al-jumʿa — אולי "מס השבוע"?). חלפון אף חזר ותיקן את התארים שהשתמש בהם מאיר במכתבו: במקום "עבדו מאיר" הוא כותב "אלא, אדונו", ובמקום "האדון חלפון" הוא כותב "עבדו". יש להשוות למקרים דומים נוספים שצוינו במקום אחר.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Recto and verso: Letter from Meir (b. Yakhin) to a certain Ḥalfon. In Judaeo-Arabic, with the address in Arabic script. The identification is based on handwriting. Dating: Early 13th century. Meir asks for the money that belongs to the shop and for a list of what should be bought. Verso: Apart from the address, some further lines in Arabic script, and a Judaeo-Arabic pen trial, there is the four-line response from Ḥalfon mentioning ḍarībat al-jumʿa ('the tax of the week'?). Ḥalfon has also gone back and fixed the titles from Meir's letter. In lieu of "his slave Meir" he writes "rather, his master" and in lieu of "the master Ḥalfon" he writes "his slave." Cf.
