מכתב מאת הסופר חלפון בן מנשה (פעיל בין השנים 1100–1138) לגיסו, ובו סיפור מפורט על הקשיים שנתקל בהם בניסיון להשיג שובר על תשלום מס (בראאה), ועל הקשרים השונים שגייס לצורך כך — חלקם הועילו יותר וחלקם פחות. במכתב מוזכר הדיואן של אבן קדיש (השוו לפריט נוסף בו מופיע אזכור דומה). בנוסף, הכותב מברך את גיסו על כך שאחותו ילדה בן ובת. לפי גויטיין, קיים גם תרגום אנגלי שלו למכתב זה.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter by the scribe Ḥalfon b. Menashshe (fl. 1100–1138 CE) to his brother in law, with a long narrative about the difficulties he encountered procuring a tax receipt (barāʾa) and the connections he used in order to procure it, some more useful than others. Mentions the dīwān of Ibn Qadish (cf. T-S 10J8.4 (PGPID 3069)). Also congratulates his brother in law on his sister having delivered a boy and a girl.
