מכתב לבקשת תמיכה כספית, ממרדכי הגר. שייבר פירש זאת כ'גר', אם כי ניתן לפרש גם כזר -- כפי שהכותב מציג את עצמו. הפסוקים המקראיים המצוטטים מדברים על עזרה לעניים ולנצרכים, ולא על תמיכה וקבלת פנים לגרים.

Scheiber interpreted it as 'a proselyte', though it can equally be a foreigner - as the writer presents himself. The biblical verses quoted speak of helping the poor and needy, and not on supporting and welcoming proselytes.
