מכתב מיפת בן מנשה אבן אל-קטאאיף לאחד מאחיו. הוא מדווח ש'אמך ואחיותיך' בסדר. שולח ברכות לסת נעים. הוא שלח עם הנושא אבו סעד בן אבו אל-פצ'ל(?) בן עֻמַיְר 3/4 מן של לענה ביזנטית (אפסנטין רומי), ו'בתוכו' יש קירטאס שבתוכו סקמוניה (מחמודה). שלח גם נג'אב ערבי עם מכתב זה לאבו אל-חסן, חותנו של אבן אל-קצבי. מישהו גרם ליפת להישבע על משהו.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter by Yefet b. Menashshe Ibn al-Qaṭāʾif to one of his brothers. He reports that 'your mother and sisters' are well. He sends regards to Sitt Naʿīm. He has sent with the bearer Abū Saʿd b. Abū l-Faḍl(?) b. ʿUmayr 3/4 mann of Byzantine wormwood (afsantīn rūmī), and "inside of it" there is a qirṭās inside of which there is scammony (maḥmūda). He has also sent נגאב ערבי with this letter for Abū l-Ḥasan the in-law of Ibn al-Qaṣabī. Someone made Yefet take an oath about something (istaḥlafanī). (Information in part from CUDL.)
