רישום משפטי (מס' 23) בפנקס בית דין רבני בקהיר. בעברית. מקום: קהיר. מתוארך ל-י"ז באדר ה'תמ"ג (1683). (מסמך מס' 23) פירוק שותפות בעקבות מותם של כמה מחבריה. ההרכב המקורי של השותפות כלל את האחים משה, יהודה, דוד ויצחק בן-יקר, יחד עם אדם בשם יעקב מוסאפיר (ייתכן שזהו האיש המופיע בשמות האב במסמך מס' 17). השורות הפותחות של הרישום מציינות כי השותפות הראשונה של הקבוצה התקיימה בין השנים ה'תי"ח-ה'תכ"ב (בערך 1657–1661). הרישום מספק רמזים לכך שמדובר היה בסוחרי בדים, באמצעות סעיפי החרגה בצד ה-verso הנוגעים לבגדים, וכן בצד ה-recto המזכיר סחורת "ditas" שנותרה מפעילות העסקים של הקבוצה. מונח זה ניתן למצוא במילון הלאדינו של כהן וכהן-גורדון במשמעות "סמליל, סמל מסחרי", אך ייתכן שהייתה לו משמעות כללית יותר הקשורה לרקמה על בדים. להופעה נוספת של אותו מונח בשותפות של סוחרי בדים משנת 1730, ראו מסמך אחר.

Princeton Geniza Project description: Legal record (#23) in a court register/pinqas from a Rabbanite beit din in Cairo (on f. 6r-v of BL OR 6356). In Hebrew. Location: Cairo. Dated 17 Adar 5443 AM, which is 1683 CE. (Document #23) Partnership dissolution following the deaths of multiple members. The partnership's original membership consisted of the brothers Moshe, Yehuda, David, and Yiṣḥaq Ben-Yaqar along with a certain Yaʿaqov Mūsāfīr (the latter may be the man who appears in patronymics of Document #17). The opening lines of the entry mention that the group's first partnership lasted from the years 5418–5422 AM (roughly 1657–1661). The entry provides clues that these were cloth merchants, in exclusionary clauses on the verso regarding clothing and here on the recto mentioning "ditas" merchandise that are left over from the group's business activities. This term can be found in the Kohen & Kohen-Gordon Ladino dictionary as "logo, insignia" but may have had a more generic meaning connected to cloth embroidery.
