רישום משפטי (מס' 27) בפנקס בית דין רבני בקהיר (בדפים 7א-7ב). בעברית. המקום: קהיר. התאריך: כ"ה באדר ה'תמ"ג, היינו 1683 לסה"נ. (מסמך מס' 27) עסקת מקרקעין מורכבת על שלושה רבעים, או 18 קיראט/קראריט, בדירה בקומה עליונה הנמצאת "בראש דרב קסטרו הקטן שיש בה חדרים הפונים... אל הדרך ברובע השומרונים" (רבע אחד = 6 חלקים מתוך סך של 24 קיראט/קראריט). השורות הראשונות של הרישום מציגות את הרקע: הבעלים המקורי, יוסף חדיד, נתן את 18 החלקים במתנה לבתו רחמה, שהייתה אז רווקה (שטר המתנה נושא תאריך ל' בכסלו של השנה הקודמת, ה'תמ"ב). מאז נישאה רחמה ליוסף בן ברוך בן-ברוך, ובני הזוג מכרו ואז קנו במהירות בחזרה את חלקי הנכס מאישה בשם אסקלרונה בת יעקב אלבו (שם משפחה איטלקי ו/או ספרדי), אלמנתו של יעקב אשכנזי. יום אחד לאחר שקנו בחזרה את חלקי הנכס תמורת 2,870 מדין מאסקלרונה, מכרו בני הזוג רחמה ויוסף שוב את הנכס תמורת 3,330 מדין לחביבה בת אלעזר נקיב, אלמנתו של משה ג'וואני (גוואני). הקונה האחרונה, חביבה, מופיעה גם במסמך מס' 21 שבאותו פנקס בית הדין.

Princeton Geniza Project description: Legal record (#27) in a court register/pinqas from a Rabbanite beit din in Cairo (on f. 7r-v of BL OR 6356). In Hebrew. Location: Cairo. Dated 25 Adar 5443 AM, which is 1683 CE. (Document #27) Complex real estate transaction for three quarter shares, or 18 qīrāṭ/qarārīṭ, in an upper-story apartment that is "at the head of Darb Castro ha-Qatan that has rooms facing... the road in the Samaritan Quarter" (1 quarter = 6 shares out of a total 24 qīrāṭ/qarārīṭ). The early lines of the entry contextualize how the original owner, Yosef Ḥadīd, had gifted the 18 shares to his daughter, Raḥma, who at that time was unmarried (the gift deed was dated 30 Kislev of the previous year 5442 AM). Raḥma has since married Yosef b. Barūkh Ben-Barūkh and together the couple sold and quickly bought back the property shares from a certain Esclarona bt. Yaʿaqov Albo (an Italqī and/or Sephardi surname), the widow of Yaʿaqov Ashkenazi. One day after buying back the property shares for 2,870 medin from Esclarona, the couple Raḥma and Yosef again sold the property for 3,330 medin to Ḥabība/Ḥavīva bt. Elʿazar Naqīb, widow of Moshe Juwwānī/Jawwānī (גוואני). The final buyer Ḥabība also appears in document #21 of the same court register (PGPID 40899). MCD.
