רישום משפטי (מס' 57) בפנקס בית דין רבני בקהיר. כתוב בעברית. נערך בקהיר, בשליש הראשון של חודש אדר ה'תמ"ג (1683). (מסמך מס' 57) עסקת מכר דו-שלבית בין משה די סוריא ובין אל-אמיר איזבך ביך (אל אמיר איזבך ביך) — בן אליטה עות'מאנית, כפי שעולה מתואריו. בתחילה ערכו השניים עסקה בכמויות גדולות של שומשמין וחטים, שאותם מכר משה לאיזבך ביך בסכום כולל של 27,030 מדין. לאחר עסקה זו, השלב השני של המכירה אינו ברור לחלוטין: משה נדרש "להציל" חלק מהסכום, ולשם כך נאלץ למכור כמויות שונות של בד (ואולי סחורות נוספות הנמדדות באמות). בין המעורבים בחלק השני של העסקה נמנים הנוצרי גירגיס/גאורגיוס ויצחק מאגורו. הרישום מפרט גם הוצאות נלוות נוספות הקשורות לעסקה, ובהן עלות הוצאת תזכרה (תעודה) ותשלום שכרו של "שומר/משמר" (קוואץ/قواص).

Princeton Geniza Project description: Legal record (#57) in a court register/pinqas from a Rabbanite beit din in Cairo (on f. 15r of BL OR 6356). In Hebrew. Location: Cairo. Dated in the first third of Adar 5443 AM, which is 1683 CE. (Document #57) Two-part purchase involving Moshe De Suriyya and al-Emir Ezbek Beğ (אל אמיר איזבך ביך), an Ottoman elite based on his honorifics. The two men had originally transacted for large quantities of sesame seeds (שומשמין) and wheat (חטים)– which Moshe sold to Ezbek Beğ for a total of 27,030 medin. Following this transaction, the second part of the purchase is less clear: Moshe must "rescue/save" (להציל) part of the sum and is thus forced to sell various quantities of cloth (and possibly other goods measured in cubits/אמות). Two of the people involve in the latter part of the transaction are the non-Jew Guirguis/Georgios and Yiṣḥaq Magoro. The entry also lists other expenses associated with the transaction, such as the cost of drawing up a tezkere and paying the wages of a "guard/watchman" (קוואץ/قواص). MCD.
