(מסמך מס' 16) יישוב סכסוך על בעלות בנכס, מחלוקת שהתגלגלה בעיר רשיד (רוזטה) במשך שש שנים לפחות. הצדדים נסעו לקהיר כדי להופיע לפני בית הדין המקומי, אולי במטרה להגיע להכרעה שונה מזו שניתנה קודם לכן בבית הדין ברשיד. הסכסוך נסב על בית בעיר הנמל, שבו התגורר יצחק בונג'אן/כונג'אן(?) במשך שש שנים מבלי לשלם דמי שכירות. הצד שכנגד, התובע את הבעלות על הנכס, אליה אגוזי, מייצג את האינטרסים הכספיים של חמותו, האלמנה ג'מילה, המוכרזת במסמך כבעלת הזכויות החוקית בנכס.

Dated 5 Av 5453 AM, which is 1693 CE. (Document #16) Property ownership dispute resolution for a disagreement that had unfolded in Rashīd (Rosetta) for at least six years. The parties traveled to Cairo to appear before a local beit dīn, possibly to establish a different resolution than what was reached before a court in Rashīd. The property dispute centers on a house in the port city where Yiṣḥaq Būnjān/Kūnjān(?) had resided for six years without paying rent. The counter-claimant for ownership of the property, Eliyya Agūzī, represents the financial interests of his mother-in-law, the widow Jamīla, who is declared the rightful owner of the property. MCD.
