רישום משפטי (מס' 20) מתוך פנקס בית דין קראי בקהיר, מתשרי שנת ה'שכ"א (1560). שטר מינוי קהילתי לדייני הקהילה הקראית ולממונים על כספי הציבור, כאשר האחרונים מכונים בשטר "הממונים ונכבדים" (שורה 25). תקופת כהונתם של הדיינים נקבעה ל-12 שנים, ואילו הממונים על הכספים ישרתו בכהונות בנות שלוש שנים כל אחת, ומוזכרות בשטר ארבע קבוצות שונות של פקידי קהילה. מעבר לחלוקת תקופות הכהונה, שטר המינוי מוסר גם פרטים אודות מוסדות הצדקה לעניים ובתים המוחזקים בקודש (רכוש ההקדש) של הקהילה. התיאור מתבסס על מהדורתו וניתוחו של בן-שמאי.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Legal record (#20) in a court register/pinqas from a Karaite beit din in Cairo (on f. 8r-v of Yevr.-Arab. I 328). Dated Tishrei 5321 AM (1560 CE). Communal appointment deed for Karaite judges and overseers of communal finances, with the latter referred to as הממונים ונכבדים (l. 25). The judges' term of service is set for 12 years and the financial overseers will serve in three-year stints, with four different sets of communal officials mentioned. Besides the term structure, the appointment deed also provides details of charitable institutions for the poor and houses held in the communal qodesh.
