מכתב מאת צדקה שאמי בירושלים אל גיסו יוסף שמש, ככל הנראה בפוסטאט/קהיר. בעברית ובערבית-יהודית. תיארוך: מאוחר, ככל הנראה לא לפני המאה ה-14 (על פי הפלאוגרפיה והפורמט). המכתב מזכיר את הגעתם של קראים. הכותב משתמש במילה "ג'וזה" (במקום הצורה הקלאסית "זוג'ה" בערבית) במשמעות אישה. בצידו השני של המסמך מופיעה כתובת נוספת, בכתב יד ובדיו שונים, ובה תאריך (רק יום בחודש), המזכירה אף היא את יוסף השמש (בערבית-יהודית).
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Ṣedaqa Shāmī, in Jerusalem, to his brother-in-law Yosef Shammash, presumably in Fustat/Cairo. In Hebrew and Judaeo-Arabic. Dating: Late, probably no earlier than 14th century (based on paleography and format). Mentions the arrival of Qaraites. The writer uses jōza (for classical Arabic zawja) for wife. (S. D.
