מכתב ממוהוב בן אהרן החזן אל נהראי בן נסים. רובו של המכתב מוקדש לדרישות שלום חמות וברכות, ובמיוחד לבנו של נהראי. הכותב מציין כי הוא שואל ללא הרף לשלומם מפי נוסעים המגיעים מפוסטאט, וכי הוא חוזר ומבקש מעוואץ' לכלול בכל מכתביו דרישות שלום מטעמו. הוא מסביר ששתיקתו שלו נובעת רק מן הרצון שלא להעמיס על נהראי את הצורך להשיב. המכתב מסתיים בהבטחה כי כל הענינים בצדו מתנהלים כשורה, הודות להנהגתו הנבונה של "אלרייס אלג'ליל" (הראש הנכבד), ובתפילות לשלומה של כל קהל ישראל.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Mawhūb b. Aharon the ḥazzan to Nahray b. Nissim. Containing mainly warm greetings and blessings, particularly for Nahray’s son. He notes that he constantly inquires after them from travelers arriving from Fustat, that he is always telling ʿIwāḍ to include greetings from him in his letters, and that he is only silent in order not to burden Nahray with having to respond. Concludeswith assurances that all matters on his side are proceeding properly, due to the sound leadership of “al-Rayyis al-Jalīl" and with prayers for the welfare of the whole community of Israel.
