מכתב בכתב ערבי. מסחרי באופיו. ממוען לכמה אנשים (מַוַאלַיַّ אלאַוְלַאד). מזכיר סכומי כסף גדולים (במאות דינרים). עיקר העניין שבמכתב נראה שמור בצד ה-verso לקראת סופו, ועוסק במס הגולגולת (ג'אליה): "שֻׁגְ'לִי מַעַ אלדִّיוַאן וְשֻׁגְ'ל קַלְבִּי פִי הַאדִ'הִ אלגַ'וַאלִי" (עיסוקי עם המשרד הממשלתי ודאגת לבי סביב מס הגולגולת הזה). המכתב כמעט שלם בשלמותו, וייתכן שמופיע בו גם תאריך. דורש עיון נוסף.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter in Arabic script. Mercantile. Addressed to multiple people (mawālayya l-awlād). Mentions large sums of money (in the hundreds of dinars). The main crux of the matter seems to be preserved on the verso towards the end of the letter and is about the capitation tax: "shughlī maʿ l-dīwān wa shughl qalbī fī hādihi l-jawālī" (my preoccupation with the government bureau and my anxiety surrounding this capitation tax). The letter is almost fully preserved, and there might also be a date. Needs examination.
