מכתב מבניה בן מוסא באביאר אל אבו אל-חוסיין צדקה בן נסים (גיל קרא "נחום") בפֻסטאט, בשוק אל-עטארין (שוק הבשמים). התיאוך: 1046 לספירה, לפי גיל. הכותב מזכיר מחסור בתבואה ומברר על דירה. בנוסף הוא מזכיר הפלגה בים שתכנן לסיציליה ולא יצאה אל הפועל, ומביע דאגה לאדם בשם אבו עמראן, בקשו ממנו לדאוג לאשתו ולילדו. הוא מציין כי לא קנה חיטה ופול משום שהמחיר בפֻסטאט נמוך בהרבה מאשר בכפר. "והודיעו לו שלא רכשתי עבורו דבר בשל הרעב (גّוע) השורר ומחסור המזון בכפר (אל-ריף). וויבה ושלושת רבעי וויבה של חיטה ופול... בעוד שאִרדבּ של חיטה (בפֻסטאט) נמכר בשני דינרים." ייתכן שהנמען זהה לזה שבמסמך אחר.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Benaya b. Musa in Ibyar to Abu l-Ḥusayn Ṣedaqa b. Nissim (Gil read "Naḥum") in Fustat (sūq) al-ʿAṭṭārīn. Dating: 1046 CE, according to Gil. Mentions a shortage of grain and inquires about an apartment. He also mentions a sea voyage he had planned to Sicily which had not taken place and expresses concern for a certain Abu `Imran, urging him to take care of his wife and child. He mentions that he did not buy wheat and beans because the price in Fustat was much lower than in the countryside. "And inform him that I did not purchase anything for him because of the prevailing hunger (jūʿ) and food shortages in the countryside (al-Rīf). One and three-quarter waybas of wheat and beans...whereas an irdabb of wheat (in Fusṭāṭ) sells for 2 dīnārs." Addressee may be the same as in ENA 2727.6c (PGPID 12357).
