מכתב הממוען לאבו סעיד ח'לף בן אבו יעקוב יוסף (המוכר גם בשם חלפון בן יוסף הלוי). מתוארך לחשוון שנת 1439 למניין השטרות = אוקטובר/נובמבר 1127. (גויטיין קרא בתחילה 1459 למניין השטרות, שמשמעו 1147, אך הכתב דהוי מכדי לקבוע בוודאות; נראה שהסופר ניסה לכתוב את השנה פעמיים, והאות ל' נראית בבירור בניסיון הראשון.) אישה צעירה, שחמהּ היה גם דודהּ ושאחיה התגורר באותה העיר, מבקשת מאמהּ לבוא לבקרה בדחיפות. השולח גם מתלונן על כך שהנמען ביקש ממנו להחזיר קודקס של תנ"ך שהושאל לו. מוזכרים בו אנשים נוספים, ביניהם אם אבו אלחסן, אבו אלחסן, אבו מנצור ואם אבו סעד.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter addressed to Abū Saʿīd Khalaf b. Abū Yaʿqūb Yūsuf (aka Ḥalfon b. Yosef ha-Levi). Dated: Ḥeshvan 1439 Seleucid = October/November 1127 CE. (Goitien initially read 1459 Seleucid, which would be 1147 CE; the text is too faded to be confident, but it seems the scribe tried writing the year twice, and the ל is clearly visible in the first attempt.) A young wife, whose father-in-law was also her uncle and who had a brother living in the same town, asks her mother to visit her urgently. The sender also complains that the addressee had asked him to return a bible codex lent to him. Mentions people including Umm Abū l-Ḥasan, Abū l-Ḥasan, Abū Manṣūr and Umm Abū Saʿd.
