Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Ḥāmid al-Kanzī to the Nubian eparch Uruwī in Ibrīm. The letter is primarily a letter of introduction for Saʿāda, who has been sent to carry out various tasks on behalf of Ḥāmid al-Kanzī. Ḥāmid describes Saʿāda as "my companion" and asks the eparch to make requests of him and show him "respect, kindness and polite hospitality," suggesting that this is a diplomatic mission requiring proper protocol. In the margin, Ḥāmid asks offers the eparch his services and expresses gratitude for the opportunity to fulfill his requests. MR Khan, Qaṣr Ibrīm, doc. 10.
