רישום משפטי (מס' 42) מתוך פנקס בית דין רבני בקהיר (בדפים 10v–11r). בעברית. מיקום: קהיר. מתוארך ל-ט"ו באייר ה'תמ"ג, היינו 1683 לסה"נ. (מסמך מס' 42) הסכם גירושין בין שמואל יהודה ב"ר יהודה רפאל לבין גרושתו שרה בת אברהם סמו/שמו (שימו). שם משפחתה של שרה מצד אביה, שלא זוהה, מופיע גם במסמך מס' 3 באותו קטע מפנקס בית הדין. לאחר ששרה קיבלה את הגט וכן את כל ממון כתובתה משמואל, היא מעידה בפני בית הדין כי היא הרה ומסכימה לשחרר את בעלה לשעבר מכל חיוב כספי הנוגע ללידת הילד וגידולו. החתימה של הסופר שהועתקה תחת הרישום היא של יצחק רעואל — שם משפחה נוסף שאינו שכיח במסמכי הגניזה מהעת החדשה המוקדמת.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Legal record (#42) in a court register/pinqas from a Rabbanite beit din in Cairo (on ff. 10v-11r of BL OR 6356). In Hebrew. Location: Cairo. Dated 15 Iyyar 5443 AM, which is 1683 CE. (Document #42) Divorce agreement between Shemuʾel Yehuda b. Yehuda Rafaʾel and his ex-wife Sarah bt. Avraham Semo/Shemu (שימו). Sarah's unidentified patrilineal surname is also attested in document #3 of this court register fragment. After Sarah received the get and all of her ketubba wealth from Shemuʾel, she testifies before the court that she is pregnant and agrees to release her ex-husband from providing any financial support toward the child's birth/upbringing. The scribal signature copied below the entry is that of Yiṣḥaq Reʿuʾel (Reuel), another uncommon surname among early modern geniza documents. MCD.
