Princeton Geniza Project description: Legal record (#124) in a court register/pinqas from a Karaite beit din in Cairo (on f. 40v of Yevr.-Arab. I 328). Dated: 11 Tammuz 5329 AM (1569 CE). Farjallah b. Yehuda al-Levi acknoledges a debt to ʿAbd al-Wāḥid al-Ḥakīm b. Rabbi Yehuda ha-Rofe ha-dayyan and commits to repay the sum of 10 ashrafī in two installments between the coming months of Elul and Ṭevet. The mention of ʿAbd al-Wāḥid's potential surname al-Ḥakīm points to the possibility that his father's titles are solely professional in nature "ha-rofe ha-dayyan" (the physician, the judge), although Rofe and Dayyan are each potential Karaite surnames. ʿAbd al-Wāḥid appears in another entry (#111) with the surname or individual nickname al-Ḥakīm but appears without it one page earlier in the court register (record #122).
