מכתב מהמחצית הראשונה של המאה האחת-עשרה ובו פנייה לעזרה בפדיון שבויים. המכתב נשלח מקהילת אלכסנדריה אל אפרים בן שמריה ואל הקהילה הארץ-ישראלית בפוסטאט. התיארוך משוער לשנים 1007–1055 לערך לספירה, על פי תקופת פעילותו של אפרים בן שמריה. (המידע מבוסס על פרנקל.)
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from the first half of the eleventh century which contains an appeal for help in ransoming captives. The letter is from the community of Alexandria to Efrayim b. Shemarya and the Palestinian congregation of Fustat. Dating: ca. 1007–1055 CE, based on the years when Efrayim b. Shemarya was active.
