מכתב מבניה בן מוסא, השוהה בתִנִّיס, אל נסים בן חלפון בפוסטאט. תיארוך: 1046. הכותב מציין את הידיעה שהלכּה (lacquer) אינה נמכרת בתִנّיס. בנוסף, הוא מזכיר את הבצורת באזור הדלתא ושאי אפשר להשיג שם לחם. הכותב פונה אל הנמען בכינוי "אבי", אך נראה (על פי השם) שמדובר באב חורג או בקרוב משפחה, אולי בן דוד מבוגר ממנו בהרבה. Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Benaya b. Mūsā, in Tinnīs, to Nissim b. Ḥalfon, Fustat. Dating: 1046. The writer mentions the information that the lacquer is not sold in Tinnis. In addition, he mentions the drought in the Delta region and that it is not possible to get bread there. The writer calls the addressee “my father” but it seems (because of the name) that he is his step father or a relative, maybe a cousin that is much older than him.
