מכתב מיעקב בן סלמאן אלחרירי באלכסנדריה אל נהראי בן נסים בפסטאט, מיום 23 ביוני 1057. עיקר המכתב עוסק בעסקת מסחר בתמרים שהסתיימה בהפסד של 12 דינרים. כמו כן מוזכרת בו הזמנה של בדים מאלכסנדריה. הכותב מתאר בעיה שיש לו ביחס לרישום של מסים שהוא חייב. בנוסף, נמסר מידע על שער הדירהמים ועל תהליך הייצור של מוצרי טקסטיל. Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Ya’aqov b. Salman al-Hariri, from Alexandria, to Nahray b. Nissim, Fustat. June 23 1057. The main part of the letter deals with a trading business of dates that ended with the loss of 12 dinars. Also mentions ordering fabrics from Alexandria. The writer has a problem with a record of taxes he owes. In addition, mentions information about the dirhams’ rate and the process of making textile goods.
