מכתב מאת יהודה בן טוביהו הכהן אל שני האחים אברהם ויצחק/אסחאק אבן אלחכים ("הרופא"). זיהוי השולח נעשה על פי כתב ידו הייחודי. החלק הראשון של המכתב כולל ברכות ודברי שלום. לאחר מכן מודיע יהודה לאחים כי שלח עם אסד, נושא המכתב, סכום של 25 דירהם, ומבקש מהם לקנות עבורו בכסף זה חוטי טווייה (ע'זל), "כי הילדים ערומים". בגב המסמך מופיע חשבון בכתב ערבי המזכיר פשתן, חוטי טווייה, מטפחת, וכן משקלות ומחירים.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Yehuda b. Ṭuviyyahu ha-Kohen to the two brothers Avraham and Yiṣḥaq/Isḥāq Ibn al-Ḥakīm ("the physician"). Identification of the sender based on his distinctive handwriting. The first part of the letter consists of greetings and blessings. Then Yehuda informs the brothers that he had sent with Asad, the bearer of the letter, 25 dirhams and asks them to buy him with it yarn (ghazl) "because the children are naked." On the back there is an account in Arabic script mentioning flax, yarn, a kerchief, and weights and prices.
