מכתב ממנשה המלמד מאלכסנדריה אל (סעד אלמלכ) אלעזר בן יהודה הכהן. בעברית ובערבית-יהודית, בסגנון מליצי ומפותל ביותר. תיארוך: סוף המאה הי"ב. השולח מבקש סיוע במאבקו ביריבותו מול מלמד אחר, ומבקש מהנמען להתערב אצל אביו כדי לשים קץ למעשיו של דיין מסוים, שאותו הוא מאשים בכך שהוא משפיע על ההורים להעביר את בניהם מבית הספר שלו לבית הספר של היריב. השולח והנמען זהים לאלה שבמכתב נוסף ידוע. ראו גם מסמך נוסף קשור.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Menashshe the Alexandrian teacher to (Saʿd al-Mulk) Elʿazar b. Yehuda ha-Kohen. In Hebrew and Judaeo-Arabic, in a very flowery style. Dating: Late 12th century. The sender requests help in his rivalry with another teacher by asking the addressee to intervene with his father to put a stop to the actions of a judge, whom he accuses of making parents transfer boys from his to the rival’s school.
