Princeton Geniza Project description: Petition from ʿUmar b. ʿAbdallāh al-Miṣrī, in Asyūṭ (l. 7), to a notable with a long string of titles (ll. 4–6). He reports on his "poverty" and arrival in Asyūṭ from Fustat where he makes a living in a certain trade. It seems that the local authorities (muqaddamūn) are causing him trouble. He asks for help.
